It’s happening again, yes, yes, yes – we're back for another wonderful year, and of course we want you!
FIGMENT Geelong is simple: it’s you and the rest of the community coming together in a gigantic free event in Johnstone Park, Friday March 21 and Saturday March 22, 2014. The essential FIGMENTal difference is you bring the art, you make the art and you experience the art. An all- inclusive and participatory event, FIGMENT is your chance to make our city a little brighter.

Need some inspiration? Check out this video that Erin Pimm made of last year's event. You'll see that at the 2013 event we twirled, skated, walked, danced and even hooped our way through the park. Some futures were read, some people left there hang up’s. There were puppet shows and the chance to receive a message from the past within the present which came from the moment before... yep - all true! FIGMENT Is a place to test and shatter the boundaries of our realities.

We invite proposals for interactive art of all mediums from local and regional artists. From installation, to performance art, to dance and video, to anything else you can dream up. FIGMENT Geelong will showcase a diverse range of interactive and collaborative works with a special emphasis on interactive light, projection and illumination art for the 2014 event.
The possibilities are endless and this is a festival for you, so build the ideas with a group, friends, your pet, and don’t be afraid to give us a shout if you get stuck, all you need is an idea. Check out our website to get inspired and submit your own project idea.
FIGMENT Geelong is a grassroots effort, organized and run entirely by really attractive volunteers who love Geelong and making the magic happen.
